Athletics

On Friday we had Athletics. The 5 year old children were on their way to the start of the racing line. They raced hard. Then it was the 6 year old children and so on. Finally it came the 11 year old children.

I was very nervous, because it was my turn to run. My hands were shaking. My palms were sweaty. At the end I came 3rd! I was very proud of myself. I have never come 3rd in a 200 meter race and there were so many people racing.

What an event that was! When it was the eleven year old heat I was almost dieing of exhaustion. But I was determined to come 4th or 3rd. I ran and I ran. I came third again! That was a surprise to me.

Eventually it was twelve year old race. It was a great sight! When it was going on to lunch time I ran towards my classroom. I was really hungry and I had something to eat. And after that I spent the whole lunch walking around with Elizabeth.

When lunch time was over it was time for the novelty races. When I got into to my house color I went to the center of the tarpaulin and sat there until it was the relay races. 1st it was Kiwis against Tuis. Tuis dominated Kiwis. Then it was Keas and Geckos were racing with each other. Keas won so the final battle was between Tuis and Keas, Tuis lined up quickly and I was ready to take on the world.

The Keas group was ready. First they were leading and I was confident that they were going to win. When Kelly went up she accidentally ran the WRONG WAY so Savelio ran with all his might and Kelly had to run the other way too!
So now we were in the lead.

Yeah!!! yelled the Keas. I felt gutted. But then all of a sudden Lezabelle popped her head she had not run. We had Won!! I was filled with relieve as Keas went back to their tarpaulin quietly, while the Tuis went back to their tarpaulin cheerfully.

Chant Time! Each group got a chance to sing a chant that represents what they have in store. The first group was Keas. They stumbled hard and they didn’t get to finish their chant. Next was Geckos and they did a great performance. Next it was our turn, Tuis was great but unfortunately we did not win.The Geckos came 1st then the Tuis, Kiwis and last but not least Keas.

It was really fun and it was great to experience this and I couldn’t have asked to do it with any better people.

The Astonishing Tool!

The Day had begin! I had been waiting for this day ever since last year. Miss G carefully handed the net books out and stood there waiting to give instructions. When I had opened the box uncontrollably I cooled down for a moment. I had never had my OWN mini laptop!
Miss G began to tell us to open our net book and log in. My password was going to be one that I could remember and I typed that in. It wasn't easy when you first start to do it. It logged in! That was a relieve!! Meanwhile I went to games and I played a game! Finally the fun began. The best part was the final Countdown, that was a moment I will definitely remember. It was fun and I will remember this day for the rest of my life.

Three Pigs and their Mama

We had a great time filming this movie.  We were given a script that we had to make into a movie.  We only had one Media Studies session to film but we spent a couple of weeks before that to practise and talk about costumes, props, etc.  We hope that you enjoy our movie.

Movies Galore

Their hearts pumping out of their chests as the lights dim and all they could see was a gigantic screen in front of them. They had come from the bus on their way to the X-treme screen in Hoyt's Cinema.

As the first movie began, the day of Thursday the 11th of November, Anasitasia sitting there, in the most comfortable chair she ever sat in, the Tamaki Cluster waiting patiently for the movies to begin. Thoughts suddenly ran through their heads as the 1st movie had been shown. Then one movie came on and the next one, and the next one, until finally it was St Pius X, Year 6-7 movie ‘Rewind’. Yells and screams came from every corner as the movie was about to begin.

Silence filled the room as the movie played through. An enormous sound of applause filled the room as the movie was slowly fading out. The whole Cluster clapped and cheered.

As the final movie finished and the lights came back on the St Pius X specifically meaning Room 6 were thinking of they best movie they liked, some students enjoyed ‘Jessie’ by a class at Pt England. As Anasitasia watched them all leave she looked at the bus arriving for St Pius X to ride in.

The whole thing took about 1 in a half hours for the whole session! WOW! That was long!! As Anasitasia walked onto the bus, excitement shot through her body like a bullet, as the students arrives at the school they all hoped out ready to eat lunch.

My Reflection and Hopes

Term3
To begin the third term I was so disappointed when we didn’t win the championship round in Netball but we atleast come second! I liked the Sharing Assembly because all the classes got to show their talent and present to the school what they had been doing in their classrooms.

Holidays
My best Holiday moment was when I went with my sisters to the Samoan White Sunday and were part of a lovely community. After the most wonderful White Sunday mass, we arrived at the hall with enthusiasm and had a big feast with our Priest, Father Iosefa and all the community was welcome. It was so overwhelming to be part of a Samoan Parish Community.

Expectations
What I am looking forward to this Term is the outcome of the Film Festival Movie which we will be filming backwards. Also the trip to the zoo that all the students from Year 0-6 will be going to. I Love the animals especially the seals and the lions.

Design of my groups Ice-cream

Our Ice-Cream was named ‘Chocolate Devils’ the feeling of the Ice-cream was cold as the North Pole as I stared at the delicate, milky, vanilla that was dumped in the mixture. The M and M’s were sprinkled along the vanilla leaving a trail of delicious Chocolate. The Crunchie crumbled into the mixture as Flakes were sprinkled into the bowl.

As I watch the ice-cream melt, I had a taste test, Oops! BRAIN FREEZE!!! That’s how cold it was!
The outcome of the ice-cream was Brilliant, unfortunately we didn’t win, but win or lose I walked out of the classroom with a smile on my face.
