Three Pigs and their Mama

We had a great time filming this movie.  We were given a script that we had to make into a movie.  We only had one Media Studies session to film but we spent a couple of weeks before that to practise and talk about costumes, props, etc.  We hope that you enjoy our movie.

Movies Galore

Their hearts pumping out of their chests as the lights dim and all they could see was a gigantic screen in front of them. They had come from the bus on their way to the X-treme screen in Hoyt's Cinema.

As the first movie began, the day of Thursday the 11th of November, Anasitasia sitting there, in the most comfortable chair she ever sat in, the Tamaki Cluster waiting patiently for the movies to begin. Thoughts suddenly ran through their heads as the 1st movie had been shown. Then one movie came on and the next one, and the next one, until finally it was St Pius X, Year 6-7 movie ‘Rewind’. Yells and screams came from every corner as the movie was about to begin.

Silence filled the room as the movie played through. An enormous sound of applause filled the room as the movie was slowly fading out. The whole Cluster clapped and cheered.

As the final movie finished and the lights came back on the St Pius X specifically meaning Room 6 were thinking of they best movie they liked, some students enjoyed ‘Jessie’ by a class at Pt England. As Anasitasia watched them all leave she looked at the bus arriving for St Pius X to ride in.

The whole thing took about 1 in a half hours for the whole session! WOW! That was long!! As Anasitasia walked onto the bus, excitement shot through her body like a bullet, as the students arrives at the school they all hoped out ready to eat lunch.

My Reflection and Hopes

Term3
To begin the third term I was so disappointed when we didn’t win the championship round in Netball but we atleast come second! I liked the Sharing Assembly because all the classes got to show their talent and present to the school what they had been doing in their classrooms.

Holidays
My best Holiday moment was when I went with my sisters to the Samoan White Sunday and were part of a lovely community. After the most wonderful White Sunday mass, we arrived at the hall with enthusiasm and had a big feast with our Priest, Father Iosefa and all the community was welcome. It was so overwhelming to be part of a Samoan Parish Community.

Expectations
What I am looking forward to this Term is the outcome of the Film Festival Movie which we will be filming backwards. Also the trip to the zoo that all the students from Year 0-6 will be going to. I Love the animals especially the seals and the lions.

Design of my groups Ice-cream

Our Ice-Cream was named ‘Chocolate Devils’ the feeling of the Ice-cream was cold as the North Pole as I stared at the delicate, milky, vanilla that was dumped in the mixture. The M and M’s were sprinkled along the vanilla leaving a trail of delicious Chocolate. The Crunchie crumbled into the mixture as Flakes were sprinkled into the bowl.

As I watch the ice-cream melt, I had a taste test, Oops! BRAIN FREEZE!!! That’s how cold it was!
The outcome of the ice-cream was Brilliant, unfortunately we didn’t win, but win or lose I walked out of the classroom with a smile on my face.

Room 6's Assembly

Nervously I waited as all in the classes come marching with their hundred noisy feet.

We had a job of Representing what Responsibility is about. We practised plays and scenarios and acted them out in Groups.
Once the first group had stood up Chills ran through my back . As I stood up my nerves were about to explode like lava coming out of a volcano .Our strand was “Working Together.”
At last my work was finished. As all the groups stood up I sit there waiting Patiently until it was the last groups turn to shine!Sione was hilarious when he said “Stop Responsibility” we couldn't here what he said!

Before Emmanuel took the microphone Miss G mentioned the fire wise movie that I was in and was going to show our finished presentation! (So Embarrassing!!!)

To end with Emmanuel ended our assembly with the virtues song and classes walked out nicely.

Iron Brian

It was like Music to my ears when I heard Iron Brian running in with such enthusiasm.

He was a hilarious actor. Iron Brian went to the front of the stage. I was longing to know what those black boards were, I was totally confused. Iron flipped one of them over which had the words Meat and Meat Alternatives. “Red Meat is much better then the White Meat, Red Meat has Iron in it,” said Iron Brian, “And Iron is a mineral.”
We were so excited for what we were going to do. It was the Iron Brian Quiz which is where we were going to win prizes. The Prizes that were up for grabs were slap bands, balls, and an awesome cap. Unfortunately I didn’t get picked!(What a bummerWe were getting very tired of sitting on the hard floor when suddenly we heard the words “Iron Brian Boogie” where two people from each class come up to the stage, bust out their funky moves and the people who have the best dance moves win the best prize.
The people who represented our class was Fetuli and Phoenix. The music played and they were dancing to the music. Every one of them were busting out their moves. For Iron Brian it was a difficult choice so they picked Tokilupe (the twin) and Isitolo. They both got a cap each and the rest got a slap band each.
They went to go and sit down in their seat, we gave them a Round of applause while they did that.

I sniffed deeply and smelt the smell of the Hamburgers they had cooked. We all stood up and did the Iron Brian Boogie. We were hoping we would get our hamburgers first! “ Put your hands in the air, wave them over here, and wave them over there, clap your hands and spin around and touch your toes, jump around and everybody say Hoo, Haa, Hoohaah,”said Iron Brian.
Our team was Protein team, the other team was Iron team. We went first so we had done all the things he said and when we had finished the other team stood up and did the same thing we did. But we didn’t win!(Another bummer!)

This movie was all about Choreography and dance moves. At first I thought, " Ok, what are we going to do now?" because we were going to be insects. Suddenly I thought, 'This is going to be good'

The Mad Movie Challenge

This Competition movie was done for the Studio 2 Firewise Movie. It was done by Phrases. With Miss Gleeson's help we put together an awesome movie. It was really cool how we brought our pyjamas and a tiny bit weird. We had to mention the sentence "Come on guys get Firewise". It took a lot of practising and organising to do but we got there in the end. I would like to thank Ofa Kautai because if it was'nt for her telling our teacher about this we would'nt have done this in the first place. We talked about getting 1st 2nd or 3rd, and Miss Gleeson told us to keep our fingers crossed and that we if we were to win we could get some goodies that we would love to win. The moral of our movie is never leave cooking unattened.

My Poem Presentation

This was done when it was Reading time. It is a Comic Storyboard kind of thing. It is based on the poem named "The Tummy Beast". It is a great poem written by Roald Dahl. It is as if it is a nonsence poem. I like this poem. I think Roald Dahl is telling us that Your tummy grumbles when it's hungry.

Netball

On a Anxious but exciting day I was selected for a Tournament of NETBALL!

Once I saw the little children go and ring the bell I quickly got changed and put on my shoes. I saw all the children waiting for the Sacred Heart Van to arrive. At Last I saw Brother Terrance hop out of the van. In each team we had to have 3 boys that played in each round. We were going to verse all the schools around the Tamaki area. I was going to go with Pam Lanumatu in her car with Siaosi, our ref.

Finally we arrived just after Tamaki Primary. We were going to challenge Tamaki Primary,St Patricks, Glenbrae,Ruapotoka, Pt England and Glen Innes Primary. The horn had rung and all the children were sitting in frount of the control room. A lady had to explain all the Ground Rules . Finally we were set into game mode and we raced off to Court 6. We were challenging Tamaki Primary. My position was Goal Defence. With such a score we blasted them to first place . I could'nt believe that we won all our games . We did'nt get a trophy but only the honour of been First place.
It was great to be part of this Tornament also it was great winning First place, that was my favourite part!!

Jump For Heart!

For the second time in my expirience in this school, Jump for Heart day had come, I was nervously walking into our classroom with my mufti clothes on. As I walked in I saw colourful clothes that people were wearing. We brought a gold coin for the mufti. We raised money for the babies in need of opperations for their hearts. We raised over 200 dollars. While the kids were screaming and the seniors were laughing, the bell had already shrilled, and the children kept on playing, as though the bell never rang. I lined up quickly as possible. Miss G had said for us to bring our gold coins and place them over the letters as we were going to our classroom.

When I saw Miss Laing hand out the paper for timestable,I quikly got myself into learning mode, and started working on my sheet,I was so tired and my hands were sore once we finished . Finally we got our lunch, sat on the green benches, and started to eat our lunches. Once the bell had rung we sat in our classes to begin our Jump for heart(HORRAY)!

First of all the little Rooms1,2,3 and 4 did a fantasy type of fitness. They did " The Lion sleeps tonight"and Kiss kiss. When it was Room5's turn I was getting a bit nervous. They did a all time favourite, Borogito. The moment had arrived for the children of Room6 to do the bongo drums. Once we got over with it I was pretty much puffed by then, it was almost like I did the weetbix marathon. Once I saw the Room7 walking up to do their dance, I was so amazed about the effort that they put into their dance.

It was a pleasure to do the Jump for Heart routine, and it is great how we raised that much money for the babies, in need for sergery .

A Running Experience

"You can do it Tuis" shouted the children as the kids ran past hurriedly.

On a exciting but exhausting Friday morning, our school was lining up to get into our teams for Athletics and already teams were chanting.

I was in Tuis-Red team. There were other teams such as Geckos-Green, Kiwis- Yellow and Keas-Blue. Once our team was quiet, we rushed hurriedly to get to the tarpaulins. We were trying to get points for our team by sitting up and folding our arms. We chanted and cheered even if we didn't come First, Second or Third.

To my surprise it was my turn Miss G. had said, "Can we please have the Ten year olds come to the starting line." Nervously I walked to the start of the line, getting ready to run. BOOM! went the blocks in Mrs Poles hands. It went dangling in my ears as I was running as fast as I could. "Yes!"I made it, third place in my Heat! I saw the flag waving in Mrs Poles hand.

The moment had come for the final race. Off we went. I was exhausted when I reached the end. Once again I came Third. I reached the tarpaulins, it was exhausting.

" Yes!" time to announce the winners. Keas once again dominated the others WOW! with a score of 141 points. Once again the bell shrilled a high pitched noise, and we went to buy a lovely BBQ lunch. I deeply sniffed the delicious smell of the BBQ. I was off to play King ball, but once I reached the tennis court I was too late! The bell had shrilled like never before. " HOME TIME!" I yelled as I ran straight to the classroom

It was great to be partof this exhausting and breathtaking experience.

We were trying to get points for our team by sitting up and folding our arms. We chanted and cheered for our team even if they hadn't come First, Second or Third.

To my surprise, it was my turn, Miss G had said, “Can the 10 year olds come to the beginning of the tracks”. Nervously I walked up to the tracks getting ready to run, BOOM! went the blocks in Mrs Poles hand. It went dangling through my ears as I was running as fast as I could. “Yes!” I made it, 3rd place! ‘Heat’, I saw the flag waving in Mrs Poles hands. The moment had come for our final race. Off we went! I was exhausted once I reached the end. Once again I came 3rd! I reached the tarpaulin, it was exhausting. At Last everything was finished!
